Mean Girls Inspired Cape May "Wedding Crawl."

Eric was getting a tattoo at my local tattoo shop in Cape May, Perigee Moon , when he began talking about planning his wedding. Of course, one of my very first weddings I ever shot was for the tattoo artist there, which led him and Dan to me! Destanie also got married at The Chalfonte, which is where they were planning to hold the ceremony- it was really all meant to be. These two are the absolute best and I am so very thankful that the love they have for cape may and each other came together for the most beautiful wedding celebration that I had the honor to document.

I knew from the start that these two were my “ideal” clients when we met for their engagement shoot and they had a glass of rose wine waiting for me as we chatted to get to know each other better. The wedding day they planned was unique and perfect for them. They got ready in a suite at the Chalfonte together, before we wandered the streets of Cape May taking portraits. One of my favorite spots at The Chalfonte is their “secret garden” which we, of course, utilized for portraits as well.

Their morning ceremony brought many laughs and tears with touching speeches from their parents and lots of mean girls references. After they said “ I Do” The guests enjoyed brunch and cocktails around the porch at the Chalfonte before heading over to a sit down lunch at Union Park. Every inch of their day was filled with small details that showcased the love they have for this small beach town. The lunch ended with the best “mean girls” inspired speech from the couple.

They made sure they carved enough time out of their day to get every photo they dreamed of, so after lunch we headed down to the beach to capture sunset portraits, while the guests went off to nap before the after party. The after party was held at The Rusty Nail and was the best way to end the day of celebrating. Eric and Dan’s wish was to hold a wedding that brought all of their family and friends together to showcase a place that they loved and that was very special to them and their relationship. It was the most incredible day.
